ROBERT BRANDON

California (Central Coast)

Brandon is an actor-musician, drummer, and percussionist trained in drumset and orchestral percussion. He has played the role of Jerry Allison in the Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre (Hudson, Florida) production of Buddy in 2023 and at the Wick Theatre (Boca Raton, Florida) production of the show in 2024.

Based in California, Brandon has been playing drums since he was 8 years and has received over a decade of education and training. As an actor-musician, Brandon has been involved in multiple productions of Million Dollar Quartet and Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story, as well Rock of Ages. Other favorite pit credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Something Rotten, Kinky Boots, Little Shop of Horrors, Legally Blonde, Escape to Margaritaville, and We Will Rock You. Brandon was also involved with the world premiere company for the jukebox musical What A Wonderful World.

Brandon received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from California State University, Fresno in May of 2019. His extensive collegiate performance resume includes wind ensembles where he served as both the assistant and principal percussionist, marching, athletic, scholarship pep bands, percussion ensembles, and a member of the Fresno Master Chorale ensemble. As a member of the Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band, he joined their band council as a member of the recruiting team, eventually becoming the Recruiting Director from 2017-2019.

Brandon was awarded the Dr. Gary P. Gilroy Family Man Award in 2017 and the Director’s Citation Award in 2018. In 2011, he was awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. Brandon is a member of the national music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.




As an educator, he worked with the Righetti High School in Santa Maria, California as the Percussion Director from 2012 to 2015. Under his direction, the program found success with awards from several competitions, adjudications, parades and performing events. The group became a local favorite to participate in community events in the Central Coast area.

Brandon continues to travel all across the country as an actor-musician, pit musician, and percussion consultant.
