“Working on Buddy was such a fantastic experience for our students. The flexibility of the Junior production allowed us to explore the idea of live music and discover strengths in our students in terms of rock musicianship, which had not previously come to the fore in more traditional musicals. The production has a real 'feelgood' factor and not only did it mean that it sold out, it also meant that our audience left buzzing with excitement having danced, clapped and toe-tapped throughout. The songs are all well-known classics and the story of a musical icon lost in his prime has also raised interesting discussion amongst students.
